For local basketball teams, whether they are young children, high school, or college teams, there are several tournaments which are held in large cities, which you can enter during the off season, in order for your team to compete against local players, and really improve their overall game. Whether you just want to keep the team playing together in the off season, or just looking to have fun competing and really showcasing your teams skill sets, there are several tournaments which can be entered, for all levels and ages, for your team to get the required play time, and really improve their skill levels.
There are typically tournaments which are offered at large family friendly gyms, such as the YMCA. These are usually for younger children (10 and under), but they might have tournaments which are specifically designed for high school aged teams, to get together and play against other local teams which are in their same age group. This is a great tournament to have fun, compete against others in your age group, and to give your team confidence with the wins.
There are also tournaments held by private companies, or players of a professional team in your city (NBA players), which are designed to be training camps to teach player skills, but also offer the players who come to the camp to form teams and compete in games. These are typically for single players (but teams can come together as well), and you will be competing against other teams which are formed during the camp dates. This is a great way to improve personal player skills, and really get your players to showcase the best features of their game. It is also a great way to meet other kids in your city, and compete against all skill levels.
